It’s Monday. That makes a lot of people unhappy. You know, in all honesty, even when you work from home, you can have days that you dread. It’s part of life. No one is happy every single day. Having good days, bad days, and days in between are just part of the human experience.
Yet, while you can’t be happy every single day, you can learn to be content. However, that’s a lesson for another day. Today, I have a better question for you. It’s something I really want you to think about.
What Are You Doing with Your Life?
More importantly, are you on your way to meeting your goals or living the life you want? Or are you drowning in the belief that what’s happened to you or what’s happening to you is the fault of others? There is so much more power to be had in life when we take responsibility. We can’t always control how people treat us, but we can choose to walk away – even if that decision is hard to make.
If you’re unhappy with your life, take some time today to reassess. Answer this: what would make your life better? What are your dreams? Try not to answer in broad terms such as waking up filthy, stinking rich. No, I won’t lecture you on how money doesn’t solve problems. Money can solve a lot of problems. It can also cause you to face a new set of problems. So, instead, think of things that you could change today or this week that would make your life better.
Then, think further out. What could you do this month that would improve your life? What could you do in three months? What could you do this year that could improve your life?
As the quote in the picture says, what you do today is important because you’re exchanging a day in your life for it.
Make it a great day.
